“Bologna-based guitarist Stefano Pilia is a founding members of 3/4HadBeenEliminated, a synthesis between improvisation, electro-acoustic composition and avant-rock sensibilities. He plays with italian rock band Massimo Volume. He often performs solo and specializes in soundtracks for theater, movies, reading, dance and video art. He released album for Die Schachtel, Hapna, Last Visible dog, All questions, Sedimental, 8mm ecc. Pilia has collaborated with, David Grubbs, Mike Watt, Phill Niblock, Marina Rosenfeld, David Maranha, Andrea Belfi, Manuel Mota, Giuseppe Ielasi, and Z’ev among others.”

Using a variety of devices such as turntables, audio cassettes, samplers, radios, and microphones, often incorporating other objects and traditional instruments, Berlin-based Rocchetti builds compelling structures that employ sound as sheer matter, mass, and impact.
