Sampo Pyhälä:

“I am a scenographer and a visiting teacher in Aalto-university with a solid background in theatre and opera. I’m interested in nonverbal narratives, the surreal arising from the mundane and surprising combinations of diverse elements in all art forms. My resent works include “a Room for Improvisation”, an open event of non-stop multi disciplinary improv that included spatial design and objects prepared and selected to inspire visitors and participants. I love to sing, play guitar, random objects and electronic devices.”

Dom Schlienger:

“I’m a Swiss musician and composer-researcher living in Espoo, Finland, since 2011, after living and working 12 years as a gigging musician in Bristol, UK, and on the festival circuit in the West Country. (Glastonbury, Larmer Tree, Sheep Music, Ashton Court, Bristol Harbour Festival, and many more) Now I’m working as a doctorate researcher at the Centre of Music and Technology at Sibelius Academy, Uniarts Helsinki, researching spatial interactivity in experimental music practices.”

Timo Pyhälä:

“Plays improvised music with double bass. He is the creator and leader of the Impro Festival in Helsinki 2014 – 2016. He is a member of the international impro network. He has been performing with many dancers and made music for theatre and films too. Timo was part of the legendary Viitasaari summer school sessions with John Cage. His motto: The aesthetics of noise is here to stay. All sounds are equal → all intervals are equal.”

The trio is circulating energy; sound, electricity and spirit, since 2015.
