Today, Tomorrow, and the Tales from the Wind
– an immersive concert of photographic art and experimental vocal performance by Visual Artist and Musician Tianjun Li (Timjune)
“Today, Tomorrow, and the Tales from the Wind” is a visual – sound performance that explores photography, sound, and human vocal as an expanded medium for exploring the intersections between imagination, illusion, and collective utopia – a alternative narrative on the contemporary phenomena within the Anthropocene era.
The visual-sound concert is a symphony of Timjune’s vocal experiment in a 4-octave vocal range and sounds collected from the Nordic natural realm, encompassing the whispers of wind, the melodies of birds, the rugged resonance of rocks, and the ethereal echoes of the sea. Interspersed within are the vrhythms of human activities, to convey grief and hope about our human-nature situation through improvisational singing in an immersive, ethereal atmosphere.
Along with the concert, you can also experience the photography-sound installation in the gallery.
