Writing with Echo and The Space Between, workshop by Lucía Hinojosa Gaxiola

How is language present across the body? Can we create a space for poetics beyond written words? Who do we echo? Is our echo the one that speaks?

Join us for a 2-day experimental writing and listening workshop facilitated by visiting artist Lucía Hinojosa Gaxiola. During the past several years, Hinojosa Gaxiola has developed an intuitive poetic practice that investigate questions rooted in listening, sound, and improvisation to unlock spaces of uncertainty and collective possibility. Or—in the spirit of Hakim Bey—a Temporary Autonomous Zone.

This workshop will include the idea of writing as a performative practice, bodywork, and sonic meditations. Inspired by Finnish daily life and rituals, our last listening and poetry session will take place in a sauna. Location will be announced to participants of the workshop.
