Sfumato is an improvisation band formed by Aaro Lehtovaara and Teemu Ruissalo. Their main interest in working with improvised music is the differences in musical know-how. Both Sfumato members are also eager to disentangle the aesthetics of “great” music by not categorizing players by their background in music.
