Aml El-Nakhala: Diary of a Human Animal
5.4.-14.4.2024
The artist presents a series of drawings directly coming from her own personal account of the horrors in Gaza, which have escalated exponentially in the last months. Artist’s words:
“What the actual fuck?, a normal person would react, but I am not talking about normal here. I would rather flip the table, as you can tell out from the name of the exhibition, that I am going to talk about a diary, but what is special in this diary? As a starter, I hate the idea of doing a diary by itself, but we all know that there is an exception in everything. On the morning of October the 29th, on the 23rd day of war, I wanted to express my anger, resentment and despair in what is actually happening in front of my eyes. So here in this exhibit you will have my eyes, feel my anger and my emotions.”
Different iterations of the exhibition will be presented in spring, summer and autumn 2024.
The prints are a limited artist edition of 5 copies each. It is possible to purchase each print for 100 euro. The sales are directly transferred to the artist.
