Suhina Klubi serves as a platform for improvised and experimental music and sound art within Helsinki. During the year 2024, improvised music ensembles will be heard in concerts held at the Myymälä2 gallery.

In the third edition of Suhina Klubi for the fall 2024, we are proud to host saxophonist Mira Stephens.

Naarm/Melbourne based saxophonist Mira Stephens is fascinated with the beautiful array of expression to be found in between the traditionally defined edges of art, and explores ways to incorporate elements of interdisciplinary art forms into their music practice through performance, composition, and collaboration. Mira uses the unique collection of sounds possible on the saxophone to create soundworlds that are often inquisitive and meditative. Their performances are inspired by and reflect on the environment, society, nature, humans, philosophy and the universal questions that we all ask.
