The exhibition SILENCE is based on works by Astrid Strömberg and Emelie Luostarinen.

SILENCE is the product of conversations between the artists regarding common thoughts about society, loneliness and longing

Both artists have dealt with the topic through painting. They have allowed their works to be independent from each other, even if they touch the same theme. Luostarinen deals with the questions on a more personal level: emotions that concern desire and absence. Strömberg has chosen to take on the theme from a more social perspective. Society is creating structures that allow us to live in a community. But these structures can also exclude.

Loneliness is something everyone can relate to, perhaps today more than ever.
